Vegetative Propagation of Deciduous Rhododendrons using Root Stimulating Agents

The genus Rhododendron L. is the largest in heather family Ericaceae DC. Rhododendrons are decorative evergreen, semi-evergreen and deciduous shrubs that have gained great popularity green building, ornamental gardening breeding. Among all groups of rhododendrons, most promising for cultivation Central Russia due to their high winter hardiness, unpretentiousness exceptional effect. article presents results experiments carried out at GBS RAS 2017-2020 on vegetative propagation 50 species varieties rhododendrons. Vegetative rhododendrons a rather laborious long process. Cutting has its own nuances considered problematic. In this regard, selection optimal conditions which can enrich cultural flora North-West, central Russia, Urals Siberia, was main goal work.
